What can efficiency measures achieve in financial and ecological benefits? By correcting electrical inefficiencies using the fast-payback methods described above, a plant can lower its electric consumption by 10 percent or more. At a facility using 500,000 kilowatt hours monthly, a 10 percent reduction would lower annual electric bills by RM 60,000 or more and annual carbon emissions by 500,000 pounds.
HOW WE REDUCE RUN TIMES OF COMPRESSORS
Freezers, and cool rooms, all have a “set point”, that is the temperature they are required to operate at and the compressor to which they are attached “cycles” to achieve that result.
By incorporating a microprocessor driven electronic thermostat into the “cycle” we are able to program the unit to “cycle” more efficiently, we reduce the operating parameters, thus the compressor run time is reduced by 25% and efficiency is increased by not allowing either over run or long run compressor time.

Electronic Ballast
The typical electronic ballast for the fluorescent lamp uses a half-bridge inverter and a boost DC-DC converter. The latter on the input side of the former also works as a power factor correction (PFC) circuit. Since a half-bridge inverter and a boost converter work independently in this ballast, each circuit needs a switching element and a control unit respectively. The electronic ballast
proposed in this paper consists of an electronic circuit with two functions. That is, a switching element in the buck-boost converter works as a switching device in the half-bridge inverter too. Then, this combined circuit can be used effectively as the electronic high-frequency ballast for fluorescent lamps

A smart technology in compressor optimization SmartCold TM green technology is specifically designed to reduce the electricity usage (kWh) and demand (KW) of refrigeration and air conditioning compressors while maintaining temperature performance. Conventional controls, including the most sophisticated Building Management Systems (BMS) and state-of-the-art refrigeration controls, operate only on reaching pre¬programmed fixed (static) values to switch compressors off and on or adjust capacity. Rather than replacing existing controls, SmartCold TM interface directly with these controls to optimize the compressors and achieve greater energy efficiency. SmartCold TM products use two proprietary Firmware programs to achieve compressor optimization. These programs are copyright protected and the exclusive property of ETS Electrical Technology Sdn Bhd..
